Peptide Girlies ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at peptidegirlies.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding it.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Email address — when you sign up for our newsletter or create an account, we collect your email address.
• Account information — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier. If you sign in with a magic link, we receive your email address.
• Activity on your account — compounds and articles you save are associated with your account so they appear on your profile page.

Information collected automatically

• Article view counts — we count how many times each article has been viewed, in aggregate. This is not tied to your identity.
• Server logs — our hosting provider (Vercel) collects standard request logs including IP address, user agent, and request path for security and operational purposes. These are retained briefly per Vercel's retention policy.
• Aggregate analytics — we use Vercel Analytics to count page views, approximate visitor counts, and referrer sources in aggregate. Vercel Analytics does not set cookies, does not fingerprint individual users, and does not share data with advertisers. See Vercel Analytics privacy details.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the site, including authentication and saved-content features.
• To send you newsletter and welcome emails you've signed up for.
• To monitor and improve site reliability and performance.
• To respond to your questions or support requests.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following providers to operate the site. Each processes your information only as needed to provide their service to us:

• Supabase — database and authentication. Stores your email, account identifier, and saved-content records. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — hosting, content delivery, and privacy-friendly analytics. Processes requests and logs as described above. See Vercel Privacy Policy.
• Resend — transactional email delivery (newsletter confirmations, welcome emails). See Resend Privacy Policy.
• Google — used only if you choose to sign in with Google. Google receives an authentication request from us; we receive your name, email, and Google identifier. See Google Privacy Policy.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and similar local storage for the following purposes:

• Authentication — Supabase sets cookies to keep you signed in.
• Functional state — we store filter and view preferences locally so the site remembers them between visits.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or analytics cookies that profile users.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:

• The right to access the information we hold about you.
• The right to correct or update inaccurate information.
• The right to delete your account and associated information.
• The right to unsubscribe from our newsletter (use the unsubscribe link in any email).
• The right to opt out of the "sale" of your information — which we do not do anyway.

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete associated records within 30 days, except where we are required to retain information for legal or operational reasons. Newsletter subscribers' email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all traffic, password-less authentication via magic links or OAuth, and Row-Level Security on our database to limit access to your records. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

This site is intended for adults interested in scientific research about peptide compounds. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact hello@peptidegirlies.com and we will delete it.

International Visitors

Our services are operated in the United States. If you access the site from outside the US, your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the US. Where required by applicable law (such as the GDPR for EU residents), this transfer is made under appropriate safeguards.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated more prominently (such as via email or a notice on the site).
